Positions for which we have openings include:

 RECEPTIONISTS

Responsibilities include scheduling appointments, answering the telephone, setting up new clients and patients, preparation and maintenance of medical records, admitting and discharging patients, filling some prescriptions, over the counter sales, mailings, computer operation, financial transactions, filing, and front office and reception area maintenance.  Receptionists will assume the responsibility for acquiring the medical and legal information necessary for the performance of their duties.

The receptionist is responsible for providing the best first impression possible. The receptionist must be friendly, professional, courteous, articulate, and capable of handling many tasks at once with many interruptions.
 

Job Requirements/Skills/Physical Demands:   Excellent client communication and telephone skills, basic computer knowledge, must be able to handle multiple unrelated tasks simultaneously, must be able to lift 50 pounds, work on feet all day, write legibly, and maintain efficient “traffic flow” in and out of the hospital.

CERTIFIED VETERINARY TECHNICIANS

Responsibilities include hospital maintenance, assisting the doctors, laboratory procedures, radiology, client communication, medical procedures, pharmacy, operation and maintenance of instruments and equipment, inventory, daily treatment of hospitalized patients, rehabilitation, assisting in the operating room and maintenance of the OSHA and Hazardous Materials programs.

The CVT is the primary support to doctors and patients. The CVT must be able to pay attention to detail, respond quickly and calmly to crises, and maintain the very high standards of patient care required by an AAHA accredited hospital. In addition, the CVT must be able to communicate well with clients, showing care and concern for their pets. 
 
Job Requirements/Skills/Physical Demands:   Certified Veterinary Technician that is in good standing, excellent client communication and telephone skills, basic computer knowledge, must be able to handle multiple unrelated tasks simultaneously, must be able to lift 50 pounds, work on feet all day, write legibly, and maintain efficient “traffic flow” in and out of the hospital.

VETERINARY ASSISTANT

Responsibilities include animal handling, bathing and grooming, cleaning, feeding, laundry, waste disposal, running lab work, assisting with exams and procedures.
  

The veterinary assistant works closely with the veterinarian and the veterinary technicians. The veterinary assistant must be able to follow orders quickly and handle animals in situations that may be less than ideal. In addition, the veterinary assistant must be able to communicate well with clients, showing care and concern for their pets.

KENNEL ASSISTANT

Responsibilities include following special feeding/cleaning/care procedures of hospitalized patients, provide compassionate care to patients, clean cages, laundry, and assist doctors and staff with animal restraints when necessary.

The kennel assistant takes care of the everyday needs of patients in the hospital. The kennel assistant must enjoy working with animals. The kennel assistant is also responsible for presenting a clean and odor-free hospital to clients and for maintaining the germ-free status of the hospital.

   Must be able to handle multiple unrelated tasks simultaneously, must be able to lift 50 pounds, work on feet all day, write legibly, and have a personal need to clean and organize everything.
